Un Peu de Press

My music for Empire Earth 2 received a very positive review over GSoundtracks.com, a website that reviews game soundtracks. Here it is in full, four-point-five-out-of-five-stars glory.

To be fair, I think the review is a bit underappreciative of the game itself, which I am already finding rather addictive. But I'm not one to turn down a compliment.

Welcome!

Welcome to Mike Music Radio, my professional blog and weekly non-live music broadcast. In case you arrived here without knowing who I am, my name's Mike and I'm a professional composer for film, TV, electronic media, and just about anyone else with a checkbook. Feel free to persue my main site here.

This blog will offer one piece of my music for film, TV, or electronic games (and the occasional concert music piece) for your listening enjoyment.

This blog is in a "beta test" state at present. As you can see, the graphic design leaves a lot to be desired at present, such as, well, graphic design. Things will be improving over the next few weeks. Handily, you can access this blog via the following URL: www.mikemusicradio.com. I'll eventually set up RSS/ATOM as well as start a mailing announcement list.

Enough administrivia and onto the music! This week's cue is a creepy opening to an obscure but compelling suspense film called Dead Line. The piano is the old upright I had when I worked at Zoesis studios. I was able to obtain the classic suspense-movie "out of tune piano" sound without undue effort.
